Back on the ward

mI can't believe transplant was only yesterday! Back on the ward from theater at one o'clock this morning. Sat in chair lunch time today. Pain shocking but controlled really well by meds. So far Martyn's kidney seems to be happy in its new residence. Mart doing absolutely fine, hip hip hurray for the donor! Not seen him yet, funny I've been around him for 35 years, yet he's only 20 yards away and I can't see him! He will be coming across tomorrow to see me. Kids emotional and well supported by their partners, freinds and family. Thank you for all your well wishes and love. Night night for now. I feel a morphine fix coming on. Trace x

  6. great news, Tracey. How typical of you to write on here only a day after surgery. TAke all the free painkillers the NHS offer. Rest and follow orders of the medical kind. Much love to Martyn and the kids. May nibble the cake tomorrow. :)
