time

Hope to grout her tomorrow...then she will look different again. What strikes me about this piece is the aspects of time that it represents. The rulers represents 'chronos' which is clock time, about equal units or chronological time.Once this time is gone its gone..a bit like how my previous healthy self was,' all my own body parts time'.The clock faces are also picking this out too. I love how the image seems to be defiantly and indeed gracefully dancing and stretching on them. She is reaching for 'natural time. Natural time follows the rhythms and cycles of nature....which can make moments longer, which clock /time watching seems to steal from me. So if I am in the present, focusing my attention on being in the moment I find the experience has a better quality. Its like time can sort of stand still...so when I'm engaged in the art work, creating or staring out of the window engaging with whats happening in my garden ,or being with my family and friends....time feels expansive and I can not feel the pressure of waiting for times and dates of appointment as intensely. The image I guess represents me looking for my natural rhythms in this process, nor adhering to the 'shoulds', which I have to say do raise their heads when I'm feeling feared, or indeed over tired.
